Trolley Air Compressor Compair Perkins Engine

This trolley is used, where no static compressed air lines are available, for supplying compressed air for aircraft servicing and for general workshop purposes such as the operation of pneumatic tools, sand and vacu-blasting, paint spraying and engine inhibiting.
The trolley consists of a two-wheeled chassis, incorporating an air receiver/oil separator unit, on which is mounted a diesel engine, either Ford 2711E 43.9kW (59bhp) or perkins 48.4kW (65bhp).
A bell housing on the engine supports a rotary vane compressor with an output of 4134 litres/min, of free air at 6.9 bar.
The engines are equipped for 12V electric starting from a battery.
A control panel coverd by a hinged flap, includes instruments for engine and air control.
The compressor output is automatically matched to load demand by a suction unloader and engine speed control unit.
The chassis has a lifting bale and adjustable Castor wheel.
Overrun brakes are fitted and the maximum towing speed is 65 km/h or 40mph.
